                     Octodrachm. Alexandreia mint. 27,74 g. Struck under Ptolemy II, circa 253/2-246 BC. Head right with
                     ram's horn, veiled and wearing stephanos; lotus-tipped scepter in background // Filleted  double
                     cornucopia, with grape bunches hanging at sides. CPE-388; Svor-460; SNG Cop-134.
                                                  GOLD. Extremely fine with some charming brilliance in the fields -

                     Christ, nimbate, seated facing on throne, holding book of Gospels and raising right hand in benediction //
                     Full-length standing figures of the emperor, crowned, wearing imperial robes and holding sword in his
                     right hand, on the left and, on the right, St. Theodore, nimbate, wearing armor and holding sword in his
                     left hand, both facing and holding, between them, long staff surmounted by a star. DOC 2.3; S 2064.
                                                        Rare in this quality. Good extremely fine with sharp details  1.000.-
                     This coin was selected to be exhibited at the Europalia 1982 in Bruxelles and was illustrated in Splendeur de Byzance
