                          Extremely rare. Possibly unique. Suspension hole. Minor flan crack. Almost extremely fine old cast  5.000.-

                     This bronze medallion appears to be unique. It is a replica of the large sardonyx of the same subject which forms the
                     centerpiece of the enamelled gold and cameo mounted wall sconce of circa 1630, entitled "Plaque de lumière de Marie de
                     Medici", now in the collections of the Musée du Louvre in Paris (Inv. MR251).
