A SPECIAL NOTE REGARDING THE CATALOGUE ENTRIES AND IMAGES
In this catalogue we have expressed our opinion as to the relative age of each piece. The term
‘contemporary’ (or ‘zeitgenössisch’, ‘original’ in German & ‘d‘époque’ in French) indicates
that in our opinion the piece was made during, or extremely closely following, the lifetime of the
artist.
‘Early’, ‘old’ and ‘late’ (or ‘alt’, ‘später’ in German, ‘ancienne’, ‘récente’, ‘tardive’ in French)
indicate progressively later casts.
All lots are illustrated, mostly at actual size. Images that are of a reduced size are noted as such.
Images on grey background are made for sole illustration purposes and do not reflect the actual size of
the medals.
All lots can be viewed online with Auex, Numisbids and Sixbid where images of their
reverses can also be found. A viewing video is also available for each medal.
The mention of the diameter in the catalogue entries is always ment as the maximal measure when
the medal is not perfectly round in shape.
